IMPORTANT: Please allow the YMCA to send you email notifications before purchasing a swim test. You will receive an email to book a time slot for your test once the purchase is complete.

Do you need proof of your swimming ability for a camp, boating program, or other activity? The YMCA offers swim tests for individuals who require certification from a certified lifeguard.

Swim tests are available by appointment for a $25 fee and are designed to verify your ability to swim a required distance safely. A YMCA lifeguard will observe and sign any necessary documentation.

Please note: 

• Swim tests are only for non-YMCA programs.
• You do not need to purchase a swim test to enroll in YMCA swim lessons.
• Swim tests are scheduled in 30-minute time slots
• Swim tests must be booked at least  48 hours in advance of desired time
• Participants must bring a printed copy of swim test requirements from their non-YMCA program
